The Pre-Cut Advantage

We believe the Moosehead difference speaks for itself, but we want you to be aware of the challenges presented by other companies’ methods. With other providers, logs are often sent in random lengths that must be cut on site. These logs are cut by hand in variable conditions with sensitive equipment that can be easily knocked out of square. This unstable environment can result in human error, leading to increased material, time, and labor costs. With Moosehead Cedar Log Homes pre-cut packages, our clients can rest assured that each log is precision-cut in a stable factory environment by skilled operators using the latest, state-of-the-art equipment.

The Moosehead Process

Every cedar log in your plan will be pre-cut to the appropriate size, with accommodations for exterior windows and doors, gable ends, spline joints, and more. Each log will then be labeled with a series of letters and numbers that coincide with your plans to ensure easy placement by your contractor. The logs will be bundled with a moisture-resistant, protective wrap and scheduled for delivery in accordance with your building timeline. Multiple, staged deliveries, coordinated with you and your contractor, ensure the materials will be there when you need them without being exposed to the elements for longer than necessary.
